SUMMER CAMP

  • Explorer — Entering 2nd Grade

    2 days / 1 nights

    What's included:
    Big adventure for our littlest campers! Explorer is a one-night sleepover designed especially for 2nd graders. Campers will enjoy hayrides, silly songs, swimming, campfires, and plenty of time to make new friends—all while discovering how much God loves them. It’s the perfect first taste of the Loucon experience!

  • Discovery — Entering 3rd–4th Grade

    What's included:
    Discovery is a 4-day, 3-night experience where 3rd and 4th graders can explore, play, and grow together. Campers will hike the trails, get creative with crafts, swim, fish, enjoy campfires and hayrides, and make memories with new friends. Age-appropriate worship and Bible lessons help campers discover what it means to follow Christ.

  • Adventure — Entering 5th–6th Grade

    What's included:
    Adventure is a 6-day, 5-night camp packed with excitement, challenge, and connection. Campers will zipline, climb, try slingshot and low elements, swim, canoe, and experience all the classic fun Loucon has to offer. Each day brings opportunities to build friendships and confidence, while family groups and nightly worship help campers grow in their faith and experience God’s love.

  • Voyager — Entering 7th–8th Grade

    What's included:
    Take your faith and your sense of adventure to the next level! Voyager combines high-energy activities like rappelling, climbing, ziplining, team challenges, and low elements with classic Loucon traditions like folk dancing and messy games. Campers will build community, serve others, tackle challenges together, and grow in their relationship with Christ.

  • Great Outdoors Jr. — Entering 7th–8th Grade

    6 days / 5 nights
    $535

    Great Outdoors Jr. introduces middle school campers to some of Loucon's more challenging outdoor activities. Campers will spend the week participating in adventure programs both at Loucon and through select offsite trips, giving them the opportunity to experience outdoor recreation beyond our traditional camp activities. The week also includes group challenges, Bible study, and worship, with an emphasis on working together and growing in faith. This program offers a similar introduction to Great Outdoors without the whitewater rafting or high ropes portion of the Senior High trip.

  • Great Outdoors Sr. — Entering 9th–12th & Graduating Seniors

    For campers ready to take adventure to the next level, Great Outdoors Sr. combines Loucon’s toughest challenges with unforgettable off-site experiences. Campers will push themselves physically and spiritually through challenging activities, worship, and opportunities to grow together. The adventure continues beyond camp with experiences like caving, river canoeing, and white-water rafting.

  • Voyager Summit — Entering 7th–8th Grade

    6 days / 5 nights

    Voyager Summit combines the traditional Voyager experience with additional time dedicated to a specialty track selected during registration. Campers will sign up to participate in Loucon activities like climbing, rappelling, ziplining, group games, folk dancing, and a service project. Each day, campers will also spend focused time in Summit Tracks: Art, Disc Golf, Film/Theatre, Sports, etc. These tracks allow campers to spend more time developing skills and participating in activities related to their interests. Bible study and evening worship remain part of the daily schedule.

  • Senior High Summit — Entering 9th–12th & Graduating Seniors

    Senior High Summit gives high school campers the opportunity to spend part of their week exploring a specific interest while still participating in traditional Loucon activities. Campers will select Summit Tracks during registration: Art, Disc Golf, Film/Theatre, Sports, Water Sports, etc. Each track includes dedicated time for hands-on activities, instruction, and group projects related to that area. Outside of their tracks, campers will sign-up to participate in adventure activities, group games, workshops, small groups, and service opportunities. The week will also include morning praise, praying for each other, worships, and applying what they learn beyond camp.

  • Faith Through Soccer — Entering 7th–8th Grade

    Love soccer? Faith Through Soccer brings the game you love together with the adventure and community of Loucon. Campers will sharpen their soccer skills, compete, work as a team, and enjoy classic camp activities while discovering how their faith connects to everyday life. Through soccer, worship, Bible lessons, and time with new friends, campers will learn to use their gifts, encourage others, and grow in their relationship with Christ.

    What does it look like to live out your faith on and off the field? Faith in Sports gives high school campers a chance to explore that question while enjoying the sports they love. Through competition, teamwork, worship, Bible study, and conversations about faith and life, campers will discover how their character, choices, and relationships can reflect Christ. Add in classic Loucon activities and plenty of time with friends, and you have a week built to strengthen both faith and confidence.

    Create, explore, and discover the ways faith and creativity come together! God in the Arts gives high school campers space to explore their creativity through a variety of artistic experiences while asking bigger questions about God, beauty, identity, and purpose. Campers will create alongside others, try new things, share their gifts, and enjoy the community and adventure of Loucon. Whether you already consider yourself an artist or simply want to try something new, there’s room to create and grow.

  • Hiking and Backpacking — Entering 9th–12th & Graduating Seniors

    Hiking and Backpacking Camp is designed for high school students interested in exploring the outdoors beyond Loucon's traditional adventure programs. Throughout the week, campers will learn about hiking preparation, packing and carrying gear, trail safety, navigation, and other backpacking essentials. Campers will put these skills into practice through hiking and backpacking experiences while spending time outdoors with their group at camp and off-site. The week will also incorporate Bible study, worship, and group discussions as campers experience a different side of outdoor recreation.

  • Cross Country — Entering 7th–12th Grade & Graduating Seniors

    Cross Country Camp is designed for middle and high school students who enjoy running or want to spend a week developing their skills. Campers will participate in group runs, trail running, conditioning, and activities focused on running technique and endurance. The schedule will also include time for traditional Loucon activities, group recreation, Bible study, and worship. Whether campers are preparing for an upcoming cross country season or are newer to distance running, the week will provide opportunities to train alongside others in an outdoor setting.

  • Wilderness Survival — Entering 5th–8th Grade

    Wilderness Survival Camp takes campers outdoors for a week focused on learning practical skills for spending time in the wilderness.   • Vacation Retreat— Ages 15+

    3 days / 2 nights
    $250

    Vacation Retreat is a special two-night camp experience created for adults with developmental disabilities, ages 15 and older. It’s a welcoming place to connect with friends, enjoy gentle adventures, get creative, and simply have fun.

    Campers can look forward to crafts, games, music, outdoor activities, and group programs designed to encourage creativity, confidence, and connection. With caring staff and volunteers alongside them, every camper is welcomed, valued, and included.

    Whether it’s a first camp experience or a favorite annual tradition, Vacation Retreat is a joyful way to begin the summer surrounded by community.

  • Family Camp — All Ages

    $120, ages 2 and under are free

    Bring the whole family and experience Loucon together! This 3-day, 2-night getaway is designed for everyone—from little ones to grandparents. Enjoy outdoor adventures, camp activities, worship, and plenty of time to slow down and make memories together.

    Family Camp is also a great introduction to Loucon for first-time campers. Come discover why camp is even better when you experience it together!

    Ministry is better when you don’t have to do it alone! Clergy Family Camp is a special opportunity for clergy and their families to step away from the demands of ministry, reconnect with one another, and enjoy time together at Loucon. Families of all ages can experience camp activities, outdoor adventures, worship, fellowship, and plenty of time to relax and make memories together. Whether you’re looking for adventure, rest, or simply time with people who understand the joys and challenges of ministry, Clergy Family Camp is a place to come, connect, and be refreshed.

  • Yes! Look for the cabin mate field when you register, and be sure and ask your friend to list you on theirs.

  • There are three payment plan options set-up for summer camp parents this year during camper registration:

    1) Pay in Full at registration

    2) Pay 50% at registration and the other 50% 7 days before camp

    3) Pay even payments monthly on the first

  • Our staff will greet you at the gate and direct you to our drive through check-in. You and your camper will remain in your vehicle until it’s time to go to the cabin. Loucon’s staff will come to your vehicle to do the following; 

    1. Go over check-in information. 

    2. Obtain any camper medications and/or medical information. 

    3. Provide next-step instructions including where to drive. 

  • Check Out: 10:00am for all camps

    Follow the posted signs for your child’s camp to pick up your camper. We’ll do another drive through loop version where families can stay in the vehicle. Upon arrival in your camper’s area a Loucon staff member will ask your camper’s name, verify your photo I.D. and have you sign for medications. They will then send for your camper. Don’t forget to go to TURNER LODGE and visit our CAMP STORE before you leave! 

  • All medication, whether prescription or over the counter, is handled by Loucon’s summer healthcare team. They will be present at Check-in to log medication, store it, and to see that your camper receives the correct amount at the proper intervals. Medication must be in its original container and prescriptions must have the name of the child. Please only send the amount of medication they will need during their camp. You’ll receive a form to fill out prior to camp. Please bring this with you for check-in.

  • Absolutely! Loucon is a nut-free facility that caters to all allergies. Please let us know when you register if your camper has any dietary restrictions.

  • If you want anyone other than you to pick up your child, you MUST list that person as authorized. You may also list those whom your child is not allowed to ride with. Anyone who picks up a child must present a photo ID—parents included.

  • We do not allow camper cell phones at camp. If your child has a medical or mental health condition that requires the use of their phone, please make arrangements with the program director at least 48 hours before your camp begins.

  • While we recognize some unavoidable interruptions (e.g., doctor visits), we strongly encourage you to clear your child’s calendar for the week. Any midweek absence must be recorded with the director or program director at least 48 hours before your camp begins.

  • Except in very unusual cases, we do not allow campers to make or receive calls during camp. However, if we have any questions or information to share we will call you as soon as possible. You can report emergencies to us through our office phone 2702427160 or host phone 2708991206

    Additionally, you can submit messages that are printed and delivered to campers on a daily basis through our campergram service VIA UltraCamp (our registration portal).

  • Our staff is trained in CPR and first aid, and our camp nurse is available round the clock. Our adventure staff is trained and drilled in safety regularly, and a lifeguard is on duty at all water activities. For more on our safety policies, click here.

  • No.Snacks will be provided daily as a part of the camper fees. Campers will receive a camp t-shirt and some of our younger campers will receive a drawstring bag to help them with their camp experience. Merchandise is for sale on our merch website and may be purchased online and picked up at Loucon, or you may pay to have it shipped home.

  • Loucon offers need-based scholarships up to the price of a standard one-week camp ($415). Please make your request before you register by completing THIS FORM

    • Please wear socks with shoes or outdoor appropriate sandals. 

    • Shorts should extend past the fingertips with arms by their side. 

    • Sleeveless shirts may be worn as long as the strap is wider than 3 of the individual’s fingers and does not have large arm holes.

    • Midriffs must be covered, except when swimming.

    • Underwear should always be covered.

    • Swimsuits must be both age and camp appropriate. We recommend trunks with drawstrings, tankinis, full-strap two-pieces, etc., in bright colors. String bikinis, underwear, speedos, and thongs are not permitted. Swimsuits should be well-fitting and nontransparent, with strings tied to ensure they stay in place. For the safety of our campers, all boating adventures require one-piece suits. 

    • Clothing with slogans promoting alcohol, sex, tobacco, drugs, profanity, or death themes is not permitted.

  • Firearms, knives, weapons, alcohol, tobacco products, and illegal drugs are not allowed at any time. Failure to abide by this policy may result in expulsion from camp with no refund. The camp director, program director, or program staff will conduct any searches deemed necessary.
