Join us at Camp Loucon for a meaningful weekend of creativity and compassion during the Loucon Quilt for Kids Retreat!
This special retreat brings together quilters of all experience levels to make quilts for children facing serious illness, trauma, abuse, or natural disasters. In partnership with the Kentucky chapter of Quilts for Kids, all quilts created during the retreat will be donated to patients at Lexington Children’s Hospital and other organizations that serve children in need.
What’s Included:
Two nights of lodging at Camp Loucon
All meals from Thursday dinner through Saturday lunch
Pre-cut quilt kits with blocks and backing
Fellowship with a community of generous and creative quilters
What You’ll Need to Bring:
Batting for your quilt(s)
A sewing machine and basic quilting supplies
A heart ready to serve and create
Each quilt will be tagged with your name, making your contribution personal and meaningful to the child who receives it.
Meet Your Host:
Nancy Decker, aka The Kentucky Quilter, is Camp Loucon’s office administrator and has over 45 years of quilting experience. Nancy will guide the retreat and offer support throughout the weekend.
This is a wonderful opportunity to use your passion for quilting to make a lasting difference in the life of a child.
